Santorum calls ‘higher education’ indoctrination of children

Is Rick Santorum really suggesting that we should eliminate higher education because it teaches us to think?  WOW!   As always, it’s not just the crap he’s spewing that we need to be mindful of, but we need to make note of the loud applause he’s getting.  This man should not be on this political stage.  He’s televangelist who’s preaching to his congregation, not a politician capable of running this country.  Guys PLEASE go out and vote, whether or not Santorum makes it.  His fellow GOP candidates aren’t much better as they are actively trying to prove that they can out fanatic Santorum.  When Santorum is the measuring stick for anything, we know we have problems. ~ Kim

Rick Santorum’s repulsive views on social issues came to the forefront in New Hampshire today when students attending a conference confronted Santorum over his outspoken opposition to gay marriage.

A midday event in front of a gathering of college students here turned into a testy exchange in which Mr. Santorum compared allowing gay couples to marry to polygamy, apparently equating the two as equally undesirable.

“If you’re not happy unless you’re married to five other people, is that O.K.?” he asked.

The students booed Mr. Santorum during the 10-minute exchange and loudly booed when he left the room. The students were part of College Convention 2012, a forum organized by New England College and open to students from all over the state, regardless of political party.
