I’m thinking once he wins Michigan and gets Super Tuesday locked up, we should nickname him “Taliban Rick.”

Santorum calls ‘higher education’ indoctrination of children

“The indoctrination that occurs in American universities is one of the keys to the left holding and maintaining power in America. And it is indoctrination. If it was the other way around, the ACLU would be out there making sure there wasn’t one penny of government dollars going to colleges and universities, right?” ~Rick Santorum

Is Rick Santorum really suggesting that we should eliminate higher education because it teaches us to think?  WOW!   As always, it’s not just the crap he’s spewing that we need to be mindful of, but we need to make note of the loud applause he’s getting.  This man should not be on this political stage.  He’s televangelist who’s preaching to his congregation, not a politician capable of running this country.  Guys PLEASE go out and vote, whether or not Santorum makes it.  His fellow GOP candidates aren’t much better as they are actively trying to prove that they can out fanatic Santorum.  When Santorum is the measuring stick for anything, we know we have problems. ~ Kim

Does he not understand that ‘children’ don’t go to colleges and universities??

Translation from fundie to English:  ”We’re upset that when our children go away from our safe little bubble of Jesus lies and find out how the real world actually works, they start to think for themselves.  Then they leave our church and stop tithing!”  I mean essentially.

This.

Plus, Dick, it’s churches and public school that are doing the indoctrination.  Higher education undoes that.

But, then, this is the “it isn’t bad when we do it” mindset, after all…

Santorum is so deep in the closet they’re going to need to send a rescue team.
They’ll just need to be careful.
There’s something there… in the dark.
Hungry.
Waiting.

"I reject that number completely, that people die in American because of lack of health insurance. People die in America because people die in America."

Rick Santorum on how he feels about the 50,000 Americans who die every year with no health care.

This man’s logic is the antithesis to logic itself. (via therecipe)

That’s his answer?  ”Shit happens”?

And he wants to be president.

Fuck this guy.

Santorum gets booed off the stage at College Convention 2012 for his opposition to gay marriage

Rick Santorum’s repulsive views on social issues came to the forefront in New Hampshire today when students attending a conference confronted Santorum over his outspoken opposition to gay marriage.

Students Jeer Santorum on New Hampshire Blitz

By MICHAEL D. SHEAR
Published: January 5, 2012

A midday event in front of a gathering of college students here turned into a testy exchange in which Mr. Santorum compared allowing gay couples to marry to polygamy, apparently equating the two as equally undesirable.

“If you’re not happy unless you’re married to five other people, is that O.K.?” he asked.

The students booed Mr. Santorum during the 10-minute exchange and loudly booed when he left the room. The students were part of College Convention 2012, a forum organized by New England College and open to students from all over the state, regardless of political party.

We need more of this. These knuckle draggers need to learn that mainstream america will not put up with their hateful, bigoted bullshit any more that they try to justify with their religion.

This is a step in the right direction!

Hell yeah it is!

This and more of it!
